    This is a clear example of a restaurant that has grown too big to handle and a venue that sets expectations that are simply impossible to match. Unfortunately, we were delayed due to force majeure. We decided to call the restaurant to inform about a 30-min delay (I consider this polite). The response was that we would better hurry up because they would not serve us if we arrived later than 14:00. Not a good start. We therefore decided to speed down the highway from Valencia to Denia and reached the restaurant on time. We decided to go for the local universe menu and what followed was a succession of innovative proposals that lacked depth and purpose. The only memorable things that I recall from the experience was that Chef Dacosta is not in the kitchen: he only joins at the end with a impeccable white shirt with his logo on it (you will see the logo and his face across everything). His incredible ego, as he started to tell us that his restaurant did dishes others didn't even dream of (I strongly object to this). I also remember a great dish consisting of a golden coca with corn, and an empty restaurant with only three tables being served. I commend his PR team for making such a big fuss for a place that is just living in Lala land.

    Ok. This opinion is based on my experience this month at the restaurant. Others might think otherwise but I care to share. The restaurant is located in a beautiful place and elegantly decorated. Staff are trained and fully understand their menu. What was impressive was the wine gentleman. He knew his wine and understood how to pair with the food. Excellent job. As for the food, it is molecular. And so you don't expect actual food but twisted and creative way of preparing it. The chef did a fine job. The only challenge is that he over did with the moose. Honestly and after act three out of six, I could not take it and my stomach was screaming take everything out. Had challenges not understanding but digesting the food. The first two acts were impressive but the flow and the cooking style from the crushed tomatoes onwards spoiled the experience. Shame, I drove the whole day to dine there....

    How incredibly lucky we are in a town the size of Denia to have a restaurant of this calibre on our doorstep. I think everyone should experience this fusion of flavour, creativity, performance, art and sculpture at least once in their lifetime... You won't regret it, especially if you chose the wine pairing. Quite an astonishing place.
